This is a critical role within the data quality team as the integrity of our performance measurement systems depends upon accurate and consistent data. This is an opportunity to take a leadership role as we look to further expand our analytic capabilities. This role requires a detailed oriented candidate with a strong background in executing operational processes. Experience with data quality monitoring techniques and best practices is a plus. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with executing data quality validations and utilizing reporting systems. The candidate must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Primary Duties include:

  • Data processing, dashboard development & execution, reporting
  • Manage the portfolio of existing reports as subject matter expert
  • Perform data validation checks (quality assurance)
  • Respond to questions and data quality issues raised by global users
  • Initiate resolution to data issues & incidents and follow-up to ensure completion of tasks needed to resolve problems
  • Maintain process and training documentation to help build our data quality knowledgebase
  • Assess, monitor and constantly improve processes and procedures behind all data (including automation)
  • Liaise with stakeholders to capture business requirements
  • Develop new ad-hoc reports as required
  • Communicate to stakeholders, including research analysts, database administrators, sales teams, and management

Skills and Qualification:
  • Graduate with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in reporting & data analytics
  • Excellent command over MS Excel formulas & functions with experience in Pivot Table reporting (Excel 2013 functionalities a plus) and managing outside data source connections to cubes/databases
  • Should have experience in handling large, complex volumes of data, creating multiple dashboards and publishing business critical reports
  • Working knowledge or understanding of relational databases and underlying data structure requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with analytic bent of mind
  • Experience in data automation and reducing the processing time using Excel Macros (VBA) preferred
  • Proactively analyze & monitor trends, causes and variances and inform stakeholders
  • Prepare, execute and deliver accurate reports within SLAs
  • Strong organization skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Problem-solving and logical troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Willing to work in rotating shifts

Technical Skills (required):

  • Excellent Excel (Pivot Table Reports), PowerPoint and SharePoint skills required
    • Familiarity with MS BI tools or PowerPivot functionalities beneficial
  • Proficient in VB Script, SQL/OLAP query experience preferred
  • Good knowledge of HTML/XML web technologies
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders - Global stakeholder experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma would be an advantage
  • Experience with online analytics or customer data reporting beneficial
